Creating a Recurring Invoice Using RfP Files
Recurring Invoices are created using RfP
files formatted in ISO 20022 XML, .CSV, or Excel.
Each RfP file contains:
- Payer alias (mobile number or email)
- Amount and due date (fixed or
variable)
- Recurrence rules and end date
- Payment reference and purpose
- Payee alias and linked financial
account
Once generated, the file is imported into
a FedNow®- or RTP®-enabled dashboard and dispatched through a
secure channel (text, email, Hosted Page). The payer receives
the digital invoice and authorizes payment instantly.

digital debit—even though the underlying transaction is a
